Biography
Bruce is a hobbyist photographer and aspiring amateur artist who uses digital photographs to create unique contemporary art. Inspired particularly by Nature, he incorporates the beauty of its shapes, patterns, colours and textures into his artwork through the layering of multiple photos. Using Adobe Photoshop, Bruce manipulates images into vibrant and energetic pieces. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Barbados Photographic Society, participating in exhibitions and winning awards on a national level in the category of Still Life Photography. Bruce resides in Barbados.

Artist's Statement
My artwork is created mostly from digital photos that I have taken. Using Adobe Photoshop, I stack photos one over the other and adjust the transparency of each layer, so that the elements of each are blended together. When all of the desired elements have been composed, I flatten and merge the layers into one. The image is modified further by adjusting its attributes such as hue; saturation; brightness; contrast; exposure; offset; and white balance. I also modify images using Adobe Photoshop's numerous special effects such as motion blur; cutout; and poster edges, to mention a few. I also like to combine positive and negative images. My creative process is mostly random and experimental. Sometimes it flows easily, but in most cases images evolve through trial and error.
